Here is a easy DIY climbing aid if you can half way weld. It's 1" square thin tubing 1/16 wall. 28" tall and 20" wide. Removable bar on the back with welded on 1/4" x 2.5" bolts to adjust for tree diameter. Weighs less than 9 lbs.20180814_103124.jpg

This is really cool, and outside of the box! I’m digging it! Is it pretty stable on the tree without the ‘wedge’ shape of a standard climber top?

This actually wedges harder than a standard stand because there is greater pinch force dued to the way it is pinching straight across rather than across and down

Oops, forgot to tag u on my reply. Btw, thanks for the comment

Here is a couple with it on a pole. And of how I carry it. Notice on the climbing picture my feet are horizontal to my body, unlike the modified lone wolf seatScreenshot_20180814-143010_Gallery.jpg

Oh yea, make sure the bar on the back is ALWAYS on top. This insures as a double safety, because if it was on the bottom a bolt could break or something weird. Unlikely, but it could happen.
Also, this should be legal in all states because there is no sharp edges to harm the tree you climb. But with that said, some state require a certified climbing stand to be used, (I was told, I've not looked because were I hunt it isn't required)

Nice crocks lol . That looks just like the foot climber of a Tree Lounge. Neat idea.
It is. I just made it out of steel and deleted one rung. The one on the left is a tree lounger. The right is the one i built before I welded it 20180813_103936.jpg

I'm going to buy some aluminum and build it the same size as the steel framed one and are how light I can get it. The original lounger climber is 8 lbs, and the steel is 9. So I got to cut the weight
