Hey guys here’s some pictures of my DIY comfort channel on my mantis. I 3D printed the part with petg and hand sewed it into the saddle. I then just wrapped it in some camouflage duct tape. Seems to be working pretty good so far. I guess we’ll have to see how it holds up through the season

Nice.

I’m using girth hitches on both sides of my Amsteel bridge and can move where the bridge settles.

i was thinking of the same kind of idea but burying it in 1" climbing tube instead of having it on the outside.

That was my original through but I didn’t want to have to cut and sew the tubing around the piece. I’m sure there’s a better way but the duct tape works for now

Just an update on this. Unfortunately the plastic piece broke apart after the first couple hunts. I still used it for the whole season so far and it worked ok but it definitely needs some improvements. After awhile the bridge had a tough time staying in the right slot. I have since printed a new design with TPU and it seems a lot more durable but I have yet to try it out to see how it works. I will attached some pictures of my new design

Have you thought about making it more hooked? then you can reduce the stresses in the corners and get more hold? Also if you print on it's side it will be strong too. (see first pic) Great Idea, thx for sharing

I’ll bet that’ll work a little better. I think mine might have a few issues once I start using it but I guess we’ll have to see. I’ll keep you posted

Pretty sure it will not break by using flexible resin or filament to print. Do you happen to have the stl I was about to design something myself but ot could save me some time :p

Here you go. Let me know if you have issues opening it. It wouldn't let me upload the file directly so I had to put it in a zip file.
