Any final report on the fit? I'm sure this took skill, planning and effort but it will be interesting to hear if breaking down a worn out item is a viable way to template something new. Good work!

Fit it’s good for the most part. I’m going to add a pleat in the center of the back because it’s a little tight in the shoulders. The hoodie I used for a pattern fit perfectly but it was made from fleece and had lots of stretch. The one I built it made from heavy duty cotton and has no stretch. Another thing to pay attention to is seem allowance. So overall I love it and there is a bit of a learning curve.
