Just finished up my diy klemz platform for saddle hunting. I built it for under $100 for all the parts. Below are pictures of the finished product. It seems to be pretty solid once cam locked on tree with minimal flex out on the ends. It takes side pressure good without kick out.

Paracord to outer edge to give good foot feel and traction.
Sponge Camo painted
Old style lonewolf seat(drill and tapped for adjustment bolt)
Lonewolf cam strap with bunge cord for storing
EWO 12” 1.25 square tube
EWO platform tree cleat

Only issues is that it won’t lay completely flat. My fault front holes I drilled on seat are not even. So I had to use original holes. I searching for flatter spacers/washers for platform to post mount. Currently using lonewolf/XOP spacers/washer which are beveled. They work but aren’t quite right IMHO.

Have them attached to 5 beast sticks with titan straps. Using a old lonewolf stand pack strap for carrying into the woods.

Total weight with 5 sticks 13.01lbs

I built two of these a few weeks ago. Drilling that forward hole in the platform was a real challenge. One of the two I built for a little off but I was still able to salvage it. The platform looks great!!

I thought I had it straight enough to work but it was way off. I though about drilling post at an angle to the correct it. I ended up using original hole instead. It does bite the tree less but still works well enough for my liking.

Also any one wanting see the adjustments bolt. It’s a bit of a pain to adjust but does work.

That’s one thing I’m considering adding. I was kicking idea of threading the post since I have a steel sleeve inside the 1-1/4” aluminum. My thought was that I could access it easier than one mounted in the platform.

I originally drilled and tapped the post. I have 3/4” wood square dowel rod thru post. The bolt sticking out back caused issues trying to cam lock platform. I ended up stripping out threads on tubing also. So I changed the setup to be more like say the predator style. Drilled and tapped platform beyond the length of bolt so it wouldn’t bottom out on me.
