What is the best way to make a one step aider to add to each of my sticks? More than Likely going with amsteel but wondering the best method you folks have came up with? What size rope? What size fuel line or what material for the “step” portion works best? Thanks!!

I just used a 24" GM Climb Sling (~$9 on amazon). I modified it by adding a zip tie inside ala the @SloMo mod to keep it open at the bottom (link provided). The zip tie inside eliminates the squeak I sometimes used to get when I used a piece of rubber hose on the outside to help keep it open. I just wrap it around the lower standoffs and use a zip tie to keep it in place while not in use. It gives me about an 17-18" aider. When I stow the stick I just loop it up over the other standoff.
