Just got finished up with painting my helium sticks and predator platform! More than happy with it! Not my idea though, defiantly stole the idea from a few people on here

Related but unrelated, 30” vs 20” what do you like better, do you plan on using both, and if so what situations would you use each in

Excellent work! I did the same on my Heliums, with one twist – I sponged on some of this paint which is both matte and added a very interesting texture, like mud or bark.

Planning on using the 20” more because they fit perfectly with my pack with the height of it so they won’t catch on anything. My buddy that I’m hunting Ohio with (out of state) will use my 30” more because he doesn’t have a set of sticks but I like them both. On a tree with more “character” the 20” allow me to position the sticks more easily for climbing than the 30”. Get just about the same height with both but maybe a little higher with the 20” depending on you’re step length.

I use textured paint on my gunstocks and custom paint those which I love doing and the feel of it. Didn’t even think about textured paint on the sticks. Maybe next time I do that!

Those look great! I was going for the same look but mine didn't turn out as nice.

Do you add paint to a sponge to get that look? Whats the process?
