I believe it’s called a cobra braid, not sure on platforms but for the standard braid it called for a foot for every inch of braid

That's a cobra braid and it took a lot more than I expected. I think it was something like 35'.

my DIY platform. Very sturdy and stable after I added a versa button on the bottom crossbar. Only weighs 4.2lbs
