What is a safe and appropriate replacement rope for v-step style steps? Factory wild edge ropes are back ordered currently and I know about amsteel. What else could be used safely?

I use 6mm prusik cord on mine, ordered it online somewhere, can’t remember

Are the main benefits packability and less weight or does changing the rope help it cam over better? Any issues with the teeth on the standoffs fraying the amsteel or other rope yet?
