What's worse about latitude, to me, is on the method 2 the leg straps connect to the bottom of the bottom panel. Deploy that bottom panel and there's so much slack they're all but useless
Yep. Being a hunting manufacturer doesn't mean you know what you're doing. Just like I wouldn't take climbing advice from someone who doesn't have work at height experience.
 
Wonder if a company could strike a deal with Taq-Strap and incorporate it into their leg straps. That way if one were to fall while climbing sticks or screw-ins they could promptly stop any bleeding.

I always wear my leg straps. Had a customer come in the store recently and he experienced a kick-out with a platform and/or sticks (not ours) and fell a few feet. He didn't have his leg straps connected and his saddle rode up to his armpits. He didn't die obviously, but probably would have been better off with leg straps in my opinion. He had to wait there about 3 hours for his brother to show up with a ladder to assist him.
