Doyles inside of pack?

Do any of you guys run your Doyles inside your pack and out through the bottom? Just trying to think of ways to keep the saddle molle from getting over loaded/cluttered.

I actually ran the line out a grommeted eye out the bottom and ran the screw from the clip through the pack fabric back into the doyles to hold it in place. With all that I still didn't like the sounds of it . I ended up making a bag that I sewed onto the back of my saddle low enough so it doesn't interfere with my pack when I have it on and high enough so it doesn't hit me in the ass when I walk (man, I hate that). It's made out of that mesh saddle fabric so the line runs through the mesh and it doesn't make a peep. I don't like things taking up full time residence on my saddle but I honestly can't even tell it's there.

I run mine on my saddle. @Nutterbuster has one attached to his pack. I sometimes don’t use a pack and have several I use at times depending on the situation. I don’t want it to be left behind so I just deal with it on the saddle.

Hadn't thought about the sound through the pack, so that's good to know. Guess I'll just have to fool with it some to find out what I like best. Might order one of Dano's fleece pouches for it if I decide to run it on the saddle. Already run one on both sides for linesman and tether.

Someone pointed those pouches that Dano has out to me and those would work perfect.

Get the DanO pouch. Worth the $12-ish investment. Makes it quiet and allows you to attach it to whatever you want....pack, saddle, belt, etc.

Thanks for the replies, ordering a pouch from DanO and will work with it to find the right spot to attach.

I have mine in a Dan-O pouch like many others and then just attach that to the Molle on my bag...seems to work well; I haven’t had any issues.

I did have it attached to my saddle, and while I also had no issues as far as it functioning from that spot, I didn’t like how it pulled the waist belt of my saddle down while walking in, so that’s why I ended up with it on my pack.

Nice looking setup, and the extra weight on my saddle when walking in was a concern of mine too. Not the Doyles weight but the combined weight of everything. Mom must have given me a Noassatol pill as a kid, don't have enough butt to keep things in place. My pack is dye-cut all over so alot of options. Like the predator paint job too, looks good.

Not gonna lie, I had to read what kinda pill you took a few times to get it :) my momma musta given me a Nobrainatol pill as a kid

I've had mine on my saddle last two seasons, but bought a pouch from DanO and thinking of putting it on my pack for this year. Can't find a good spot to reach it with my pack on though. I'm 5'7" and got arms like a T Rex...

i was givin the same prescription. I had to put suspenders on the saddle to hold it up while walking in. works like a charm now.

Combo of noassatol and dunlops disorder require suspenders for me.

I have a Doyle’s and usually clip it on the saddle (not molle loops). When you use a DanO pouch, can you remove the metal belt clip on the Doyle’s without causing havoc on the Doyle’s and rope unraveling?

My DoanO hoist pouch came in, removed the clip and installed Doyles in pouch. Now I've got 3 pouches....lineman, tether, hoist. Have a Genesis 3d Ridge Runner clip center of molle on my Flex, will see how that works.
