Dream Hunt?

Blacktail in OR
Mountain Whitetail and Bear in Idaho. I read an article several years ago by Dwight Schuh when he was editor of Bowhunter magazine (Sadly, he passed away last year). He and Larry Jones went on a mountain whitetail hunt and the story and pictures in Idaho just mesmerized me. It was on Public in the Nez Pearce National Forest.
American Bison
Yukon Moose
New Zealand Red Stag, those things sound wild
Mountain Goat
Bighorn Sheep
Dall Sheep

My dreams are vastly bigger than my pocketbook.

This is going to sound odd, but I live my dream hunt every year when my buddies and I get together bow hunting whitetails for a week or two in November. It doesn't even have to be at an out of the ordinary location. I really can't think of anything I rather do than spend time with these guys at camp hunting hard and sharing stories of our hunts in the evenings. We've been doing this for better than 40 years and some of my favorite memories are shared with these guys. And, no none of them saddle hunt or come on this forum so I'm not buttering them up for the prime pick of spots next year. :tearsofjoy:

The only way it could be better is to have the guys who've passed before us be able to come back and sit in again. I always feel like they're there anyway though. I will say that it is good that the younger generation (our kids and their friends) are filling the empty chairs.
