I climbed a giant oak tree today,it was the tree i had to be in and i couldnt have done it any other way. It was 3' diameter at the base, and at 18' it split into two trunks and i could barely get the predator strap around it.
Biig. I almost made the throw on the first try,but then had to try five times to get it.
Carrying that rope does not help my pack weight, but it does come in handy. I also use it to rappel if i no stick climb.
I was thinking of getting a light rappel rope but i think i will keep the arborist rope.
It was an awesome hunt,i love being mobile. About a mile into public,i scouted until i found hot sign. A doe snuck by at about 40 yds.
