I currently use a hand climber but want to try drt this year. I will slowly gather gear for srt for next year if I like this climbing method. I want to use the same rope for both I’m looking at sterling scion in Orange. I’m not worried about the color because I have to wear fluorescent orange anyways. Any insight or experiences with this rope are appreciated. As are suggestions on other available ropes. Thanks

If you are contemplating going SRT I would go with a middle of the road diameter climb rope that will cover a wide cross-section and/or be compatible with multiple SRT Ascender/Descender systems Incase you want to experiment with different equipment. You won’t have to buy multiple hanks of rope in order to experiment.

I have been using blue water assault line in olive green for DRT this year. Blake’s hitches are holding well and the rope is pretty tough.
