Dryad Drey Vs JX3?

Come to the light, the JX3 tree saddle light..............
Don't be afraid, you will sit from dark to dark very comfortably, no fidgeting, be able to snooze when you want, no dreaded hip pinch, no back aches, you can shoot 360° around the tree with any weapon, bow or gun.
No platform required, only a ROS, no sore feet, no knee pads required, no sore knees, no tired legs from leaning as you can sit all day, built in pack frame for carrying all your needs. No getting into “saddle shape” as your Lazy Boy at home does it for you. Buy once, cry once.

Well I'm from Central IL... but I am stuck in South Texas until after the season opens. Round these parts I get strange looks if I even talk about hunting from a tree.
I'm about 40 minutes south of Chicago. I could meet up after you get back if you want to try it out. I wouldn't mind driving a bit and checking out some spots down there.

I have both. If you have bad knees or feet, jx3. If you walk far, dray. My opinion only. I just bought a single panel to try, and may attach the dray to it to test it out. I have 2 seasons of jx3 experience, and I need a thin seat pad because of an old tailbone and spinal injury. I need a season in the dray to really have a locked up opinion.

Agree with this. I love my jx3 but if I had a super long way to walk I would go with something else personally

I have 2 "soft" saddles. A Drayd Drey LL, and a Overwatch Outdoors Transformer. Between those 2, I prefer the Drey, because it is more comfortable FOR ME, than the Transformer, so the Transformer has become my "spare" if something happens to the Drey, or if my son decides to try saddle hunting instead of using his climber! ;)

If I'm not comfortable, I can't stay still, and my hunting time isn't as enjoyable. I'll be 61 this year, so for me, with my arthritis, comfort is EVERYTHING!

So far, for morning or evening sits, I've used the Drey, and have been plenty comfortable for 4-5 hrs.

But, once November comes, & I'm gonna be out there all day, (I'm in PA, & I also hunt in southern OH,) I switch to my JX3. I've carried it in up to 3 miles in with no issues.

I'm a Wild Edge Stepp guy, and I do like a platform, even when using the JX3. The WE Perch platform is perfect for me-very light, clamps to a stepp, & gives my feet a place to be. With 2 other steps at the 3 & 9 o'clock sides of the tree, I have enough mobility around the tree to shoot where I need to.

With ALL saddles & climbing methods, the key is to continually practice to get familiar with them. This ain't a "once & done-yep I checked it out at ground level & I'm good to go" kinda thing!

As much as I practice at ground level, things are WAY different FOR ME once I get up the tree! I get my exercise thru the year by climbing trees & tinkering with my saddles & climbing methods!

But If I only could afford one system, I would $ave up, & it would be the JX3....just my 2 cents.....

I felt the jx3 was more comfortable once set up, but it limited my climbing methods. One sticking sucked with it, as with we steps using k/s. Once setup its the best but til that point I didn't care for it. I guess the pre setup hassle outweighed comfort for me. I sold mine. The drey I run with my latitude classic. It's comfortable in testing but I haven't had chance to do long sits since I got it at end of season. Customer service is top notch with dryadsaddles I found out tho.
