Dump Pouch Recommendation

I find a floppy rope to be an inconvenience. A good sack helps my rope stay firmly where it belongs. Just my personal preference.

I used the sys hauler from Tethrd last year. I used it to haul my tether and back band. The linesman’s I usually ran over my shoulder as it stayed attached to the linesman’s loops all year. Easy removal of the linesman’s for me means another carabiner and more potential for noise.

Make your own, that's what I did. I had bought the cheap molle dump pouches on Amazon but they were too loud and bulky. Made a couple out of fleece that are flat and they worked well. Otherwise the SYS hauler from Tethrd would be my choice.

Old, green, USGI 1 quart ALICE canteen pouches work wonderfully!

Bonus: they're fleece lined.
Double bonus: they have a cute little exterior pocket that's perfect for turkey diaphragm calls.
Triple bonus: they're another excuse to be super-impressed with just how well your ozone generator works.

these are tough as nails and fit all molle attachments firmly.

How about just daisy chain your LB? Avoid the weight & expense of the pouch.

Many reasons, 1. The main reason is I’m a dummy and don’t know how to daisy chain hahahaha!!! 2. My rope is pretty stiff and 3. I think my ropeman and biner may dangle and annoy me or make noise.

That’s a great idea, I have the fleece and just never thought of it. Thanks man.

Right on man! I was the same last year as far as being clueless on how to do the daisy chain. Worked on it this off season after watching Boswell's video on it and it turned out to be pretty simple.

Another option that I used all last year was throwing my LB over my shoulders which got it out of the way and worked like suspenders. Just an idea.

Ihaven't used them while hunting in a saddle but i use them with a pistol belt while scouting and plan on attaching them to my saddle...a little bigger than i wanted them to be but they are real nice. I had to soften the canvas but it has 3 internal divided areas and they are water proof. Could get away with not carrying a backpack. Plus they are called '' german buttpack'' 3 for 13 bucks

New member and new to saddle hunting... first post. So much useful info on this site. Here is what I have on my kestrel. Has large interior compartment with dividers. Easily fits back belt folded up in divider, then tether w/ropeman at the bottom (pic 2), then linemans rope w/ another ropeman, both daisy chained together on top (pic 3). Still room in outside pockets for small accessories, etc. Plastic buckle and NO velcro you find on cheaper Amazon ones. And as a plus, removing the shoulder straps leaves 2 nice molle hooks. Material is louder than fleece obviously, but no worse than material saddle is made from (camo patterns are a heavier weight cordura also, fyi). Maybe larger than what some are looking for, but compared to the summit viper my large American self (6'2" 260 lbs) has been lugging through the woods the last few years, this is all minimal to me thusfar.

I have a kestrel size 2 and was wondering what a good pouch would be for securing my lineman’s or other gear. Should I go with the Hauler from tethrd? There are a bunch of others on amazon for half the cost and I have free prime shipping but I’m not sure if the size or molle attachment is going to be good.

This one on amazon is what I was thinking:

I use that one I have no complaints light weight closes up nice attaches to a mantis easily! Cheaper than the sys haulers and comes in 3 days HCYGW?

If you can find one, the old trophyline pouch with the two side pockets is phenomenal. Quiet fabric and magnetic closure. I can put my treehopper, bolts, squirrel steps, and tether all in there. Usually daisychain my linemans and run it behind me from hip to hip, bu there's room for it too if I wanted.

I do the same with my linesman’s. Extremely low profile

saw them today at the mil surplus shop for $4 apiece. what do you do with the snaps? Just let them flop around loose? i was thinking one closed and one open should be enough opening to access and keep everything in at the same time.

ever try the 2 quart? it has a plastic buckle fastener
