Got it done for the second year in a row on my Ohio property out of my saddle. I get one week a year to travel from Arizona to my parents property in southern ohio. I had John Eberhart check out my property 3 years ago and he gave me directions to two trees he tacked for me along with a solid explanation on why he chose those trees. Last year my hunting partner and i both killed out of the "Eberhart" stand, both good bucks killed two days apart. My buddy tagged out at his place last week and I waited all week for yesterday's cold front. I went in and hunted the second tacked tree by JE which I'm calling Eberhart 2 stand. The Buck came in on a old roadbed where I had a mock scrape and pears and I got a perfect hit on him, he piled up 15 yards from the stand! Kudos to JE and his knowledge base, he knows how to read properties!

Nice deer!

I'd love to go to a scouting clinic with eberhart the beast hunting public whoever. I've read books watched videos but still tend to second guess myself when I'm boots on the ground looking to setup. Always ends with me shrugging my shoulders saying "I guess this is as good as its gunna get" because I only find the obvious sign. I dont know how to read where they're coming from where they're going, night vs day, how fresh it is (within reason).

Glad you got your property figured out to make your week off worth it up here.

Hey, I may have chose the locations and trees, but they prepared them and hunted them correctly (seasonal and daily timing) and made the shots which is more important. The best location on Earth is worthless if not hunted correctly.

John, I initially doubted the stand i killed out of this year when I first found the tacks u placed but I had to step outside of my box. I dont know why but initially I did. Then when eberhart #1 stand produced last year I knew I'd be in the game with both trees. I knew it was a one and done sit and back to Arizona so I held off for the cold front and trusted your know how with the rest. I bet I was a good 28 to 30 feet up like u told me to. Two saddle kills in two years for me and I cant thank you enough Sir! I remember my first phone call with you prior to purchasing my first harness, glad I found you and this website! Looking forward to getting my apple and pear trees up and running for my retirement and following the plan! Also gonna try and be the first documented coues deer kill out of a harness in January.
