I use a safeguard. All I’ve ever used. I don’t have any issues with it really but what’s the deal with the megawatt? Sure is expensive… anyone use one? Got any feedback? IMG_4952.jpeg

I saw the Pinch too.
Is that what you use?
Got any feedback?

I use it for climbing but not hunting

It's huge compared to the safeguard.

I like it ok it generally feeds pretty smooth but it's a little picky about rope.

Not exactly sure how to put this into words but it doesn't have the level of direct feedback to the rappel handle that the safeguard does. It almost feels like the handle isn't connected to anything, no resistance to help meter the rappel. That's a little weird to get used to for me.

If you're looking for an ascender for 11-12 mm rope I'd look at the skylotec too I've heard favorable reviews.

Just throwing it out there, I've looked at the Pinch before, but still using a Madrock and waiting on the Mag Guard...
Do you think the Lifeguard mode, a spring releases the cam when it’s unloaded, will be useful?

Not unless it's able to be disabled... I actually started with a Lifeguard, switched to the Safeguard, and then tried the Lifeguard again for a specific climbing style.
