I use Dan’s Froglegs. They are waterproof/snakeproof chaps attached to the boot of your choosing.
They snap down at boot height if you don’t want them all the way up, and hook to your belt when you do.
I don’t think I could hunt these southern river bottoms without them. Lots and lots of snakes around here.

I been looking at these real hard lately. I've grown up wearing only lacrosse ankle tight hip boots. I wear them for work and hunting and over the past several years have noticed the quality of the rubber lacrosse uses has gone down as the past several pairs I have torn above the knee area.
So my questions...
- how rugged are the froglegs?
- does the stitching to the boot leak after long periods of standing in water?
- I've always wore lacrosse ankle fit to keep the suction of the mud from pulling my boot off, if there is another ankle fit style out there do you know of one?
I know Warren wick("wicks outdoors" I think it was called) was the pioneer of this design. Does Dans still use his design or was it modified?
