Hey guys, I'm searching for a saddle hunting pack. I was wondering/hoping anyone has used this pack for saddle hunting. Will this hold a platform and 4 skeletors? Thanks guys. I hope this is not a dumb question. Thank you guys for any help, it is truly appreciated!

Well I have yet to use mine since I got it for Christmas but I am excited to try it out soon. I have my platform (predator) in the exterior panel and on each side I have 2 sticks. So far walking around the house set up, it is noise free. I did mod mine for my doyles gear hoist--I burned a hole in one of the side water bottle pockets and added a grommet so it's permanently in there. Now I was going to get a waist belt for it before it arrived and now I am glad I didn't. Without a waistbelt, the pack should hold nice and low profile to the tree. Now I wouldn't hesitate to take a shot on a used one. I couldn't find a used one at the time so mines new. As luck would have it, there were some used ones going around $80.

Thank you such! I don't think I have the ability to use the classifieds on this forum yet. I'm going to surf fb and see what I can't dredge up. Man, seriously thank you for the reply. Now I gotta sweeten momma bear up somehow to pull the trigger on this pack! If I'm lucky, I'll be able to grab one used. Would you happen to have a photo of your bag kitted out? I would love to see it.

Sure. Here you go. My saddle and knee pads are in it so there is little space left inside. This is just for off season storage. The molle pouch is my kill kit that I swap between packs.

I think you’re going to want a frame and good waist pack. I used the Eberlestock Renegade last year and it was great, got it on sale for $125. Extra layers (up to a Sitka Fanatic Jacket with headwear and extra gloves inside) and the sticks/platform/saddle secured in the load shelf on the outside. Four 20” beast sticks, Predator platform, rappel gear, saddle carries great. I even had a tube style quiver attached to the right side frame.

The year before I used the X2, but realized splitting the sticks into to bundles to attach inside the wings wasn’t worth the effort. And the pack was too bulky in the tree.

Thank you so for the feed back guys! I've got information to crunch on. Also thank you for the photo of your bandit kitted out @ArcherAdam pretty slick! I honestly don't know why it is so hard for me to choose a pack

No problem.

I also have a SOG oppord. Another great pack and a true value in a pack as well. What sold me on the bandit though was how the profile likely will snag on brush less when traversing and how it will lean nice against a tree. The size will also make you only pack what you truly need!

I put my Fix platform under the molle panel and can carry 5 one sticks under the pack horizontally. I have ordered a waist belt for mine.
Do you have a picture of your sticks attached? I was thinking of doing the same thing and was wondering what straps or strap system to use. In my ideal world, I would reach behind my back to deploy my sticks without needing to take my pack off.
