To be clear, it's the deer that (can) drop 10"+ at 40yds, in the data I posted, not the arrow.

Thanks for clarifying. I was stating that I'll accept the exaggerated arc of my heavier arrow even considering it allows the deer to drop more prior to the arrow's arrival. Sorry for the confusion - maybe I should have not used an arbitrary number of 10". :D My bow is currently shooting about 240 fps, so my arrow drop is probably more than 10". ;)

Always decisions to be made.

Upside is the deer has a better chance of ducking enough to avoid a wounding hit, if it decides to move. If they would just stand still, right?
