Enough Cover For Saddle?

@Rg176bnc is right about Cottonwoods. They grow so fast that the wood is brittle. Your weight can snap a limb off that would hold a small car on most tree species. If you climb them, be mindful of this characteristic.
 
Ive had pretty large chunks of bark come off on me. Its like it doesn't adhere to the tree.
 
That's a forest compared to some spots I set up in.... I say go for it
 
Cottonwoods are fine with sticks, WE stepps, and MAYBE blots.
But, for the love of God.... NEVER climb them with spurs!

Agreed. The tree in the left has more cover, and looks like it’s in the shade when the others aren’t. I say go for it!
