Most are using 1/8 inch or larger. Most are also creating a locked brummel on a bight and then burying the tail end throughout the rope. What size for a normal amsteel rope?

That was kinda the point. If you don’t know what the current “accepted” (and I use accepted loosely) standard for using Amsteel in this manner (for the cam cleat) then you need to learn the standard or not use Amsteel in this manner. I think he was trying to be informative. Someone will correct me if I’m wrong but I believe you have to essentially run the Amsteel back through itself completely for it to act as a rope that would work with the cam cleat. I believe this came about when tethrd introduced adjustable Amsteel bridge on their phantom saddle. That bridge and the prussic has to be ran through itself to build it up enough for it to bite enough like regular rope would. I think this is because Amsteel is a hollow braid. Again this is super high level and loosely accurate at best.No offense but I have no idea what you just said lol.WTH is a locked brummel on a bight?

Yes, Amsteel works best under this what was described. There are other rope options that can be used though. That was kinda the point. Cam cleat is the only way to go with a one stick.

What does that thing weight?
Not a whole lot of adjustment left in that strap, huh?
Not sure if this is just something that the Carl from Tethrd is playing around with or if they actually plan to release this to market at some point, but I got to see this stick in person at the STL TNT event. They had a 13" and 14" version, but since it is just 1" tubing a person could make them to whatever length they want. Carl said it was intended for one sticking and used as his platform as well. He had a multi-step aider attached to the bottom step and with his oplux repel line he was coming in just over 2lbs for his setup. He also had a cool looking fabric wrap that secured everything around the stick for a very light and compact package.
