I've been climbing trees for years but not this way I normally just climb and tie off to limb and set or stand on limbs been wanting to get into the saddle for a few yrs now , I'm a minimalist if it don't fit in pockets I don't take so is there a saddle that don't require a rock harness? I have a new hss harness that has built in lineman loops could it be useas an all in 1 saddle

Well the Mantis is probably your lightest/smallest saddle for the minimalist, I'm not sure about the fitting into the pocket though, I'd just wear it in, does that count? I always recommend a RCH and Sitdrag or fleece saddle to start just makes sense to me to start out cheap and see if you like it before spending a bunch of cash and having to wait for a good bit.

I know I'll like it you should see some of my days a-feild for me I'm so used to not being tied offor at least just old school waist rope to actually hook up and have the ability to move is nice I have made and used the diy rope saddle other than rope cutting in thighs very comfy back to my orig? I have a hss that has lineman loops leg straps belt and bridge loops could I use that with a tether and hunt untell I find a saddle

Guess I should also mintion this hssharness is labeled as ascending and descending aid it's kinda cool looks like a climbing harness with sholder straps instructions show that once in stand put tree strap on tree then tether from tree strap to back bridge is what they call it it's not like the ones that have the tether seen in that just dangles off the neck

Yes you could use that. I don’t think it would be real comfortable but it would be more comfortable than a couple of rode you’ve been sitting on.
You could add a fleece or sitdrag and be comfortable with that.
I used just a sit drag for awhile with just a linesman. It’s not recommend but I had no problems
