External battery suggestions?

Any suggestions for a good external battery to charge phones/headlamps while camping? I have ran through a few crappy ones and am looking to get something reliable.

I just went through this with phones/camera gear. I spent a handful of $ on different things & the cheapest solution was by far the best…… I have some dewalt 20v tools so a charged 3 batteries & hoped for the best. Bought

I never ran down a full battery & charged phone fully 4 times & camera 2times still had 1 bar of battery left. Returned the other external batteries!

Anker makes really good battery packs if you want a stand alone solution. I've go a 20,000 mah one that I keep in a dry bag in by hunting pack for charging my phone and as an external battery for the rare occasions I film. I've also got a cheaper 20,000 mah that has a built in solar panel but it doesn't seem to hold as much charge as the anker.

I've been dealing with this myself. Struggling to keep phone, ipad, cameras, etc all charged up quicker. My small camper has a 12v battery and I could rig up some extra wiring and ports, but this last weekend rather than spend more money (after $$$$ saddle gear lol) with another jump box or various other options, I simply pulled a 12v deep cycle battery from my boat and keep in truck/camper as needed. Got clip on 12v port with USB extensions, etc. Now I have charging for days without worries, and backup jump start if needed in the boonies. In my case the simplest was the best and portable from boat to truck to camper as needed.

This one is really nice and works well for outdoorsmen. The IP rating is nice to have and it can be recharged via solar if that’s your thing also.

Milwaukee tool makes something similar for their 18V tools. Works well for electronics - AND - for their heated clothing. (You have to purchase an after-market, non-Milwaukee tool "extension cord" to make it work with the heated clothing.) Lasts longer than the 12V batteries, although a bit bulkier, the extra run time is nice.

Outside of using your power tool batteries for electronics and heated clothing, there are many portable battery options available on many online retailers (Amazon). Pick one and go!

Thanks guys. I am going to look into these and find the best fit for my needs.

I usually like to have a car battery with a power inverter at “home base” as well. It is extremely convenient.

i've only had this in the woods once and havent dropped it or anything so can't really attest to it's ruggedness yet, but i recently bought this because it has a wireless charging and so far so good. (my phone's USB port is broken and battery is failing so wireless charging was a must). have not attempted to use the solar charger to test if it actually woks or not. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081C5TY2J?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
