Extinguisher grunt call attachment method

So I am getting my gear ready for October 1 and saw I don't have a string around my grunt call. Anyone have any ideas on how to put a lanyard/string/cord around the extinguisher and keep it on the smooth plastic? Tt

Or maybe make one like it from paracord ? If going to buy, search call lanyard.
