Has anyone tried the 8mm hitch on canyon elite rope? I'm currently using the 6mm hitch from Ewo but could sure use the extra 6 inches in length.

What hitch do you use?
 
I meant Distel, Schwabish, …….
The TRC is nice, it’s sometimes hard to get certain friction hitches to work with the preset length of sewn or spliced cords.
 
Your need for more length is maybe because it isn’t grabbing reliably without resetting it each time it is advanced?
