EZ Kut not so great for me

Anybody else's have these issues with pruners?
The EZ Kut lookalike broke on me Friday while setting trees, so I took the EZ Kut with me in Saturday and it failed in the same place. I'm tired of paying for cheap crap.

I broke one blade in mine and they made it good and even threw in an extra replacement blade. I cannot remember what I broke it on, but I do remember thinking that it was my fault and not the product. I love them so much that I bought another this year for a spare.

that sucks. I just bought a bunch of their stuff. specifically because of the lifetime warranty. I haven't had chance to use them yet though. I am sure if you call them, they will replace it but hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Yeah, they told me to send it in. Of course stuff doesn't break until you use it and you don't use it until it's time to use it and so when it has to be replaced you should be out doing what needs to be done. Just a pain. That's all. Seems to happen way too frequently.

That’s weird. I have gut trees with mine that were big enough I had to cut a little with the tip just to get the jaws around them. I had a set of corona brand from Walmart for about ten years before ordering the ez cut this year. At least they are standing behind their products. It does suck having to put everything on hold.

I somehow snapped the top part of mine.
I did that too. Was definitely my fault. I have cut limbs that are probably double the size of what they recommend.
I bought a new one just because they make a good product and I broke it.

I only use heavy duty shears for hunting... I'm running a pair of Fiskars right now for hunting.

How are the Fiskars working out? I saw them at Farm and Fleet but didn't pull the trigger. I picked up a hand saw though. Stihl.
They are made for them by a company that make high end saws. Three letters, don't remember the name of it. Starts with an A.

The only problem I have had with them is one of the plastic handles busted the glue that holds it on...
Granted, I was using it WAY out of spec. All I need is a little gorilla glue in the plastic handle, then slip it back onto the metal. I've used them for 4 years now.

If I had known about their power-lever shears I would have gone with those, but the standard heavy duty shears have worked just fine.

I have the 3Rivers Archery version of these - I'm pretty sure they are made by EZ Kut - but not 100% sure. I have had these for 5+ years and have abused them on some tough and max sized limbs for pruners and have no failures....
