Pretty decent video measuring forces generated from falls.

I know I know.... the guys are a bit weird, probably using dynamic rope, in a gym.... Whatever

I was intrigued at the values they were seeing. Although I doubt I'll change my setup or use 550 cord as a tether, it is a piece of mind to have rated equipment.
 
If you fell with a fixed anchor using static rope, the max force would be higher. How much higher is the question. I climb with dynamic rope for a bit more safety, just in case.
