Will be new to saddle hunting this fall once mine gets here in a couple of weeks hopefully. I have been wondering what happens when you fall asleep... I'd love to say I never fall asleep in the stand but I'm guessing it's probably be better to be in more of a sitting position. Close to the tree if you're going to close your eyes for a min?

I routinely take naps in my saddle. Some guys like to lean into the tree to rest, I prefer to use a recliner strap and lean back to dose off. Usually what I do is straddle the tree, leg on each side then use the recliner strap to keep me in an upright position. Then I just sink into the saddle, wrap legs around tree, lay back and play the game of trying to stay awake. Honestly I feel safer napping in my saddle than I ever did in a hang on stand.

I like to nap. Keeps me from fidgeting. Always seems like I see deer after waking from a light nap. Your bridge can make a decent head rest

Last fall, I was dozing with my right side against the tree. I turned to face the tree and at the base of the tree looking up at me was a doe. I slowly got my phone out of my pocket and got this video of her slowly walking away. I had no more doe licenses so no matter.

I sleep hunt. Thats my style. I wake up to squirrels staring at me just above my head. Had an eagle scream so close to me one time I almost josey wales'd him no scope style with a .308. I figure a deer down on the ground shouldn't be to bothered. I also came into this saddle thing with the hopes i could still conk the hell out on the regular

If you snooze you are very very quiet
I only sleep when I have no hip pinch.
That is the only reason why hip pinch is good

You wouldn’t believe how tired hunting back to back days just sitting in a tree can make you. It’s almost like the less you do the more tired you become. I end up getting so tired that I can’t help but sleep in a tree after hunting all day back to back. Webbing bridge is the ticket. Lay that noggin in the crest Where it meets your tether and you have yourself the best pillow a tree saddle can provide.
