After going through a bunch of webbing, mesh, various straps and buckles, lots of reading and 6 versions, I've finally settled in on 2 saddles that work for me. Thanks to all the folks that have given tips and suggestions. Agian, nothing innovative here. These are to Mantis and Kestrel what Romex watches and Yike boots are to Rolex and Nike. Just sized and tweeked to my specifications and needs...and no where near the quality.

My suggestion to others on the fence about making their own...unless your just a DIY junkie like me, buy the quality products available commercially! This was an expensive endevor!

Those are some seriously sick skills man.. already getting my material and machine ro do my own now..

Did you figure your top width of your saddle from the center of your hips or forward of your hips?

Forward of the hips so that the bridge loops end at 7 inches past my hips. That's where I'm comfortable.

Thanks brother, but the sewing machine and guys who came up with the design did all the work. Turns out sewing is pretty easy!

Looking great! Have a pile o’ prototypes laying in the work shop trying to find that perfect fit.
