Finally got some hang time - Six hours to be exact

I found that after more time in the saddle last year, I ditched the knee pads and back rest, I think as my body got used to the saddle I didn't need the extra comfort and got sick of carrying the extra crap around and additional things to setup. If I was doing an all day sit that would probably be different.

Hey Peter,
I took advantage of the early season here too and I have to agree: I loved the saddle set up.

I also scooped up those kneepads when I heard Eberhart mention them. Well worth the $15.

I am waiting on the Mantis, and I think it will improve what little complaints I have about the SitDrag. For one, I think I will really like dedicated linesman loops. I also expect to cover my hiney better, so it will feel less like I am about to slip out (though I am confident I won't fall).

I went up with my LW Hand Climber and it was good, but before the season is through I think i will try the WE steps thanks to you.

Shh Don’t tell no one but I hunted without my rock climbing harness after about the second hunt
Just the sitdrag and a linesman belt.

I’m doing the same, I proved to myself and my wife at low level that the Sit-Drag without a RCH is safe. And to me it’s very comfortable. I rocked 11 hrs opening day!

I feel confident that's what everyone that isn't sporting a RC done to provide themselves a level of confidence in the equipment

I've logged 8 sits so far in my SitDrag and I havent worn a RC harness with it yet. I did enough testing near the ground to feel confident it would be pretty tough to fall out of the SitDrag, when you lean back it constricts more around your hips holding you in. The RC would hold you up if catastrophic failure of the tether/bridge/SitDrag occurred but I see that as acceptable risk given the odds.
