Hey everyone.
Saddle hunting has been a fun learning adventure. I wish I would have made the jump years ago. The other day I shot my first doe from my saddle during a PM hunt. My set up is a flex size 1 with Tethrd accessories and a predator platform. (Sadly, I Sold my mantis to a friend. ) I used 3 muddy pro sticks and was about 16 feet up a maple tree about 50 yards inside the woods from a bean field. Shot was about 15 yards and she ran about 50 and died. High double lung. Sorry for the poor picture quality.
Saddle hunting has definitely rejuvenated hunting for me in a lot of ways. We have a lot of lock on treestands that we share on this farm and although I do still plan to use them some, they seem like they get burned out pretty quickly. With the saddle, I am really enjoying being able to move around easily to different locations.
Thanks for being such a great resource!
Brian.
