Kinda lol, wearing my saddle but no height. I left my ladder and platform in the tree(private) cause I knew I was coming back this morning but once I got up on top of the hill the wind was backwards of normal, so rather than sending my scent downwind I did a ground assault down wind of my tree and sure enough it paid off.

Congratulations! I'm trying to get my first saddle deer myself. I came awfully close bout a week ago but he came in on my weak side and shot right under him. That 3 o'clock shot is a rough one

Sometimes makes me think of using a larger platform so I can just stand and spin.

I'll bet I get one. If I could've stood and spun I'd be posting a pic of a heck of an 8 pt. I'm one sticking with the angled scout on it and I do like it. But man if I had a platform that day....

My diy is 10x12", it's not much but I can just get enough footing to stand shimmie around if needed
