Well I finally got to get up in a tree with my new trophyline ambush pro. It is awesome!!!!! It’s so comfortable and I feel like I can sit forever. I hung out for about an hour tonight till dark. I wanna get climbing and using my ropes down pat before I shoot out of it. But so far so good. My platform should be here tomorrow which I think will make it even better. I also still have to figure out where I wanna keep everything and how I’m gonna haul stuff up the tree. I’d like to be able to climb once with 4 sticks and not have to go up and down multiple times.

Doyle's huntin hoist is a life changer. I also keep a length of paracord that I will use to pull my rappel rope down at the end of the night, i sometimes use this pull up my backpack instead of climbing with it. Last year I kept my platform hooked to my saddle during the climb, but I have been using the strap as a sling and climbing that way. There are a million different ways to haul your stuff in the woods and up a tree. Good luck.

Ambush Pro is a good choice. Probably one of the safest of the new breed of saddles due to the heavy webbing Trophy line chose not to abandon from the old days when they were one of very few saddles out there. You'll figure out a good system with a little trial and error, and there's a ton of methods on the forum, some good, some great, and some, well......
But you'll figure it all out.
