First Shots from the Saddle

Last night I was finally able to take my first practice shots from my saddle. I’ve been practicing climbing and setting up but my bow was out of commission until recently. It certainly has me pumped to practice more and get my first hunt under my belt.

I know how exciting that is! My first attempt was about 2 weeks ago and I failed to shoot my target. I was on the low side of a leaner tree with my target on my right side……could not make it happen on the small platform. My second attempt was in a better set up and I was able to come to full draw 180 degrees from my target and swing all the way to it like I was following the deer. I even tried to stop it with baaaat! He finally stopped and I killed him…..4 times!

This is good to hear I know I completely blew my first time , I wasn’t set up properly and I mean it was bad. Practice shooting from the height you intend on hunting from . I need to head out there myself I haven’t saddled up in awhile .
