First sit of year. All gear worked well. Predator slipped sideways a bit but did not come loose. Scared a grouse. No big game sightings. Great to be out again.
 
It sure feels good to spend time in the woods again. Maybe your big game sightings will go up. We don’t have grouse but they are a cool bird.

They will scare the ever living s**t out of you when they flush. They sound like a helicopter taking off and its usually right beside you when you're least expecting it.

We experience the same thing with quail. You always seem to make it into the middle of the covey before they explode in unison.
