A shout out to all of the generous help I had here getting started this year with saddle hunting and one-stick. I was getting so frustrated with the time it was taking me to climb and get set up that I almost gave up. And a case of shingles for the first weeks of the season didn't help. But I got out there today (first snowy day) got up into the tree (not very gracefully!), and sat for a couple of hours in my Tethrd Phantom, Predator, and back-support strap (I'll be 60 next month: I need that!). I was just about to call it a day and had just poured my last cup of hot chocolate to warm up when a nice 8-point came around the corner. I balanced the full cup on top of the thermos, which was hanging from the tree, prayed that it wouldn't fall off, moved into position, and dropped him. (Actually, he ran about 150 yards, but I'm OK with that.)

Thanks again for all the help. I've got a few questions, but I'll put them in another forum.

Nice job!

But come on, if you would have balanced that hot coco on your head and knocked him down, we would be impressed!
