Flooded river bottoms

I live in Wisconsin and often hunt on the Wisconsin river bottoms near my home. We’ve been getting rain for a few weeks now and the river bottoms, which consist mostly of hardwoods and tall grass which is perfect bedding areas and travel corridors, are covered in feet of water. Normally these bottoms flood a bit in the spring but the deer have the entire summer to move back in. My question is, if it quits raining and the water falls, how quickly do you think the deer move back in? I have many other options for hunting areas including a private farm but I really enjoy hunting the bottoms and more often then not I’m all alone in there even though it’s public.
