I’m still trying to figure out why they lowered the maximum size for trout and didn’t lower the minimum length. It’s kind of hard to catch a speckled trout between 15 and 18 lol they are all either 14.25 or they are 19 plus… it gets frustrating. I agree with some of their rules but no archery during muzzleloader and certain fish restrictions don’t make any rhyme or reason.
I am fine with lowering the maximum to take pressure off the breeding sized females but wouldn’t lowering the minimum back to say 14”or even 13” also help people reach their catch limit by catching and keeping the better tasting smaller males? I question their rules on a daily basis lol

It’s because bowhunters were getting so many of the permits and that prevented blackpowder hunters from hunting

They had enough complaints cuz can’t use a black powder gun on bow hunts and said it isn’t fair

You and me both. Alabama has some properties set aside for that and from what I've seen riding around the areas they're pretty solid.
