Has anyone had any experience with either of these? I have always wondered how they do vs real fletching, and real world experience with an animal and them popping off with passing through.

Pros? Cons? Personal opinions?

Also if this is the wrong board, mods please feel free to move/delete. My apologies, I tried to find the best location.

I tried FOBs a few years ago. They work well enough and were excellent in cross wind. They were loud and slow. I put a few in my pack for emergencies. They just were not as good as fletched arrows.

I got some Zingers last season from the classifieds. They work pretty well IMO. I have the four fletch with six degree offset. I think they are louder than Blazers but I like the convenience of them. Don't have to worry about glue or a jig. They just slide on. Accuracy seemed about the same for me. They will come off with a pass through by design.

I used FOBs since shortly after they were brought to market. I love them. I have a new arrow setup and I'm trying the Zingers. I bought their test kit. I'm looking forward to testing then this spring.

I used zingers last year and they worked fine. Going back to vanes this year though. They start to slide on impact into target after a while and they are noisier than vanes but they sure are convenient.

With my form and face structure, I would get major face contact with a FOB. That's something to consider. If you get any contact at all with something like blazers, then I don't know how you could get FOBs to work. But maybe I'm missing something.

Used the zingers last year and had 4 shots on critters. Each pass through, the zinger popped off. Other than that they worked great, maybe just a touch louder than fletchings. I got a dozen 4 fletch for standard arrow diameter if your interested.

I have both. I personally couldn’t get to my normal anchor point with FOB’s so I never tried hunting with them. I use a mix of fletched arrows and 4 fletch zingers and haven’t noticed much of a difference. I suck at fletching so the zingers are appealing to me for that reason. You can always attach the zinger with a few drops of fletching glue if you don’t want them popping off on entry.
