I've had several people to ask what kind of vanes am I shooting. My reply is, they are fob's. I don't use vanes. Here is some slock photos of some critters I've taken using the fobs.

I use a Schaffer opposition with no problems. I bought longer nocks because the fob touched my face weird and I didn't like the way it anchored.

I prefer the qad arrow rest using the long arrow holder. The qad comes with 2 different arrow holders. Use the long for more clearance

That's what I have so I'll look at it. Thanks!

I've also been thinking about trying out the FOB's. Seems like any reviews I've read guys either like them or don't, but the dislikes don't provide a valid reason why? Anyone switch to them and can give feedback on likes/dislikes?

I like mine. I actually carry fobs and standard fletchings in my quiver. If I set up in an area with nice clear shooting I'll use the fobs. If it's brushy and I think I may have to shoot through some leaves I'll use the fletchings.

Another factor is the wind. I like the fobs for heavy wind since they don't drift as much

I put a FOB on right after I got them. It shot excellent. I'm planning on playing with them more in the offseason. My biggest concern is due to my lighted nocks. Lighted nocks have become a very important part in helping me determine shot placement before tracking and for helping to find the arrow to evaluate it for tracking too. Since the nock pops off with the FOB, the nock will be somewhere around where your shot was. Not necessarily a deal breaker for me, just something different that I was not going to switch to mid season, so I will experiment more in the offseason.
