I’m looking for a good pair of boots. They don’t need to be terrible warm, but they do need to be rubber, and they do need to have a stiff sole.

My old rubber boots have got a hole in them, and they are generally uncomfortable when standing on the edge of my platform or on bolts.

What are your thoughts?

If there's any chance you may move through high water sometimes. you may want to
check out the options at conkeys outdoors. I went with the tingleys & lightweight chaps
that Nuttrbuster turned me on to. He's got a review on the youtube. I'm on the third
season now & had them through every kind of rough stuff I could find. Even heavy brairs
& they've held up great. I did add some superfeet insoles to help stiffen & got rid of the
squeak from the original insole. Those things are lighter then my tennyshoes. The chaps
fold & pack down around the boot when you don't need 'em.

If you want a little stiffer & heavier there's several other boots you can choose.
