Forced to the ground!

Season opener in KS and... I’m stuck on the ground! Sold my tether and LM belt to a buddy Monday because I had ordered new ones from DanO. I wasn’t planning to hunt until Friday (after my order came in) so I was like sure you can have it.

Needless to say work was slow so I decided to hit the woods. Went to grab my saddle out of the back and it hit me that I wouldn’t be able to climb!

But at least I’m in the woods!

I love hunting from the ground! Seeing and shooting deer at eye level is a huge rush and your as mobile as it gets! If you got a little wind moving, still hunt. It's a blast

@Aaronpaul14 a little piece of saddle hunter advice. Never sell gear until you have replacements in hand. @DanO is pretty reliable but sometimes stuff is like unobtanium right after you get rid of something that was working.

Note: should always keep spare climbing rope around.

I have to confess that since rifle season opened here I have not been in the saddle at all. I have spent all of my time in ladderstands or on the ground. I do that every year. I bow hunt from the trees (climber in previous years) and move to the ground with a gun in hand.

There are no bad days in the woods.
