Love the character, but I am also the son of a preacher born in the mission field and have always been known as being "straight as an arrow." A buddy of mine found out I loved archery and started shooting at a young age and started calling me "Arrow." Flipped the "3's" and this is my name in numerous forums.

My first name is Hayward. On the construction crew I worked on for quite a few years the guys went through a series of nicknames and woods wound up sticking. Add the fact that I spend a lot of time in them and being born in 1989 and you have 'woods89'.

Nox is stinking and ever since I started saddle hunting this year it has changed my way of hunting so much more stealthy and quiet like a ninja!!! You don't want a stinking ninja after you!!

My dad started taking me out hunting when I was 3, and apparently when I was a little kid I couldn't keep quiet. When we would go pheasant and muzzleloader hunting with my dads family everyone had CB radios in the trucks to talk. I needed a call sign so he decided to call me red squirrel because I was "noisy as a red squirrel".

Erniepower - are you from Indiana? I went to school with an Ernie Powers!

SaddleMaster refers to saddles in the hills. When I got serious about deer hunting it was the first terrain feature I learned how to hunt and loved it.

I never go by Ike in my real life, but an old high school girlfriend's mom used to call me Ike to annoy her daughter. Hunting annoys my wife the same way, so I figured it fits. The Tx is pretty self explanatory.... The country (oops, I mean state) I live in.

Edit: The "man" was added because a number of forums require a minimum number of characters.

Mausty - derivative of my last name and an old high school nickname.

PSU - Penn State where I did my undergrad studies.

Surprisingly, I don't always get to choose it because someone else has beaten me to it on other sites.

Any chance we can get you to do a write up about hunting saddles, or a video like DaveT has done? Would be great to learn about actual techniques.

Mine is some what self explanatory, ADK=Adirondack State Park, and I like trapping the mountains of them! Although I must admit I have taken more to deer hunting in the recent past. I used to go by ADKMadTrapper because I took my older brother with me on my trapline once and I took him through the nastiest country you've ever seen. I caught a fisher by the hips in a conibear that day and it was still alive(Nasty little buggers they are!). I only had my deer rifle because it was a conibear line so I didn't want to shoot it so I asked my brother to grab a stick so I could "thump" him to dispatch him. So he comes back with a club, I looked at him cross eyed and said I wanted to kill him not crush his skull! So I proceeded to pick up a small 3/4" diameter stick and walked up and swatted him across the bridge of the nose and the fisher instantly went limp. I looked over at my brother and he was astonished and said I was nuts! When we made it back to camp he started calling me the Mad Trapper so I used that for a bit. Unfortunately nobody really understood it and I got tired of explaining it so I just switched to MtnTrapper.

I'd like to see the club speed on your driver if you can whack a fisher like that!!!
