Not sure if this has been mentioned or not but I would almost guarantee if you just tell the warden that you were advised by @EricS or @swampsnyper or even @Nutterbuster, he understand and let you go on your way.
Honestly I would just pay the non resident fees. It’still only comes up to like 30 bucks a month. 12+ deer limit. Unlimited small game opportunity. I’m sure someone has come up with a Georgia slam deer, bear, hog, gator, or turkey. It’s a bargain.

It’s definitely not a bad price, but at this point I’m only at my training wage for my new job plus trying to save $ to make the move down here it’s just not in the budget at this point. And the other dilemma is I am going to purchase the lifetime licenses for my son and I which is $650 for my son and $750 for me. So it only makes sense to me to just hold off for now. It sucks but it is what it is I guess. For this season I’ll just play with my trail cams and shoot 3D targets.

That's what I say, ignorance. How was your trip?

Thank you for asking. I got the call at midnight Sunday evening that my 14 year old niece took her own life. I immediately jumped in my truck and made the 13 hour trip back to Michigan through the night. The drive went well, but this week has been horribly hard. It’s going to be extremely hard to leave my family this coming Sunday to head back down south

Sorry for your loss. I've gotten that phone call before, and it's a hell of a thing to come to terms with. Prayers for you and yours.

My father committed suicide. It's a hard thing to rap your head around. I will be praying for you and your family.

I’m not sure, I was wondering the same thing. Once I have my drivers license switched how will they tell?

The time period is for people who move there and never switch anything over. If you're physically living there the state wants you to make it official because there are many other legal and financial factors involved with having you in the state. This law has zero to do with you moving there and immediately signing up as a resident. If you meet the state requirements to be a resident on day one, then you can become a resident.

I have dealt with this subject for years because I travel for work full time. Meet the requirements, get your license and you are good to go.

I also would like to offer my prayers for you and your family. I jammed a friend into my car and dragged her into the hospital after an attempt a long while back and I still just can’t wrap my head around it. I hope things turn upwards fast for you and yours.

So, do you have a saddle? If so, how long have you been hunting from one?

I have a modified sit drag setup. This season was going to be my first in a saddle but I had the job offer down here and that put a damper on my hunting season this year. Being in a unfamiliar place and training for my new job and being away from my family for this long has been hard on me so I really haven’t had the drive to do any practice out of it. I brought all my equipment with me but haven’t even busted out my bow to target practice . We are planning on the family moving down the 1st weekend of November, so I’m hoping to get some tree time after that.
