Full bury splice?

Pardon the dumb question.....but what does the term "full bury splice" mean? More specifically, I know what a buried splice is....but what does the "full" part signify?

The splice is buried the entire length, essentially doubling the line.. one inside the other.

thanks....I had guessed that was what it was, but wasn't quite sure.
