How soon is too soon to start training my 1st grandkid for the woods?!?:)

We welcomed Graysyn Wayne into the world last night at 7:42pm. 7lbs 14oz and 20 3/4” long healthy baby boy. Gonna be a big kid with me at 6’5”, my son 6’7”, and his mom 5’11”.

Congratulations! I'd say just get him used to being in the outdoors at first, then when he is a little older get him a toy bow. Then later, start him on small game.

Congrats! I started my 3 kids on “Bowhunt or Die” from their first bottle session. My 6YO and 3YO help spread seed in food plots, check trail cams, and the kids get to see and touch every deer that gets shot before it’s gutted or sent to the butcher. Make it exciting to see and do the boring parts of hunting, and they will love the fun parts that much more!

Congrats!! And with my 5 boys and how i was raised with my dad i couldnt go hunting until i learned how to whistle, in case we got separated, or i would sit and slee… i mean watch for animals but we would whistle to get back to eachother. I was also the fetch dog until i was about 10, 10 is when i got to carry a gun by myself and hunt. My oldest is almost there i just scheduled him for hunter safety. But my rule to them is the same, learn how to whistle and they can come. Starts with squirrels and rabbits then when theyre okder i can bring them geound hunting for deer(we dont hunt private land). But again Congrats!!
