I'm sure most on here have seen these used before, I hadn't though. I saw this while walking through Lowe's and couldn't resist for a diy gear hanger. I may make some slideable loops on it instead but so far so good. And at a hair over 2 oz. it packs so easy.

I use the above but with one hanger and one eye on it. I hang my bow from the hanger and clip one end of my lineman belt to an eye and the other to my pack. This way I can adjust my pack height to whatever it needs to be with the ropeman.

You could tie alpine loops instead of figure 8s. (might be easier). I definitely want to pick one of these up!

Walmart also carries those. I use one with paracord to lower my bow and gear also. No rope burn
