Gearhead Archery

So you just need the longer release if you have a long draw?
the t series comes in a fixed draw up to 30 I think. so if you order it in 29, it stays at 29. very smooth cams on the t series
the b series has a new riser and is fully adjustable. left to right, draw length, draw weight, all without mods. weight comes in 10lb groups 65-75 55-65 etc
the d series has a similar riser to the b but with i think a little toned down cams if i understood correctly. fully adjustable. left to right, draw length, draw weight without mods.
also all have adjustable brace height.
i have a t20 and a b34 and love them. fantastic shooting bows. have the b34 cranked up to 80 lbs, had it up to 86 but brought it back to 80 to get used to it. the t20 is great shooting and an awesome to pack and hunt bow. With the 29.5 in draw @ 70lbs with some light weight victory arrows im getting around 305fps. gets the job done on 30 and in on whitetail, pigs, yotes etc.

You running drop away or containment rests on your Gearheads?
As much as I hate to say it I'm running a drop away. This was the first season in I would guess 5+ years that I did not have a whisker biscuit on my bow.

I'm running hamskea trinity pro hunter. It's been a great rest have no complaints. Went to full draw film tour an my buddy won a 25% coupon to Hamskea. Let me have the card so I gave drop away rest another try.

Using a peep on the D20?

I was but I have been messing with no peep here lately. I didn’t have issues with the peep I am just trying to eliminate it for hunting and so far it’s been great!

@flinginairos - do you carry your D20 in a Gearhead backpack designed for it? Or some other pack? Been looking for a backpack but now that I am about ready to pull the trigger on a 18 or 20, I want something to carry it in. I plan to hunt with my longbow again next fall (I hope), but will be carrying the Gearhead with me, best of both worlds.

No I just carry it. I don’t like walking in with the bow strapped to my back. I have killed more than one deer while walking in lol. It’s so small it’s super easy to carry.

Alternative to nose buttons: copper John tst sight and a 5/16 peep. Great light transmission and no sight sticking out front to get hung up saddle hunting. And you don’t have direction changes to the shot if you torque the bow.

old eyes do fine with 5/16 peeps and it circles a copper John tst perfectly.
