this idea is great.... thinking im going to configure my climbing sticks this wayI’m thinking a spliced/sewn eye on some 7mm rope with a prusik knot for adjustability on the other side for an attachment. Possibly a ropeman but that doesn’t save any weight or reduce metal noise.
One draw back would not being able to use a side step as the rope wouldn’t fit in the slot.
@ckossuth I don't have a sewing machine so I tried to daisy chain some 5/32 amsteel. Only tried it on the one tree in my yard but found that it did not get tight enough to properly cam. The loops are as small as allowable but the main difference I see is the space between the loops is larger. Any thoughts?
